LSD

LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) was discovered by Albert Hoffman on November 16, 1938. It is known to have psychedelic properties to which he discovered by inadvertently spilling some and having a very lovely bike ride home.

LSD was later popularized by Timothy Leary and his often misunderstood catchphrase : "Turn on, Tune in, Drop out", which has nothing to do with televisions nor dropping out of school.

The Beatles song, Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds is widely believed to be associated with LSD.
